Acridotheres tristis

The common myna, or Indian myna, is a starling native to Asia, an omnivorous bird of open woodland with a strong territorial instinct that has adapted extremely well to urban environments. it is listed among the 100 worst invasive species (Wikipedia, general species account). It was described from a specimen wrongly thought to be from the Philippines, and the type location was later corrected to Pondicherry in southern India. (Wikipedia, general species account).

Its range has expanded rapidly through introductions, and it has become a serious pest in places such as Australia. Two subspecies are recognised: the Indian myna (A. t. tristis) (Linnaeus, 1766) – It is found from southern Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and eastern Iran to southern China, Indochina, the Malay Peninsula and southern India. Populations from the northwest of its range have sometimes been separated as a distinct subspecies, A. t. neumanni. (Wikipedia, general species account).
