The Sulawesi heleia is a white-eye relative endemic to Sulawesi. It is also known as the streaky-headed white-eye or streak-headed ibon, names that reflect older English usage and its patterned head. The accepted scientific name is Heleia squamiceps, and current lists place it in the white-eye family Zosteropidae. The genus name Heleia derives from an unidentified small bird mentioned by the ancient Greek scholar Callimachus (Wikipedia species and genus accounts; IOC World Bird List).

The species lives in moist montane forest and is resident on Sulawesi. A current Birds of the World account covers identification, diet, movements and breeding, but those sections were not accessible without a subscription during this research. The open sources did not provide enough verified detail for measurements, a full plumage diagnosis, foods, nest, clutch or incubation. These fields remain omitted rather than being reconstructed from photographs or transferred from other Heleia species (Birds of the World account index; Wikipedia habitat summary).
